Humphreys Capital is a real estate investment company that acquires, develops, and operates income-producing, multi-sector commercial properties including industrial, multifamily, office, and retail.
Beginning in 1975, firm founder Kirk Humphreys started, acquired, and managed numerous commercial real estate properties with a diversified list of tenants. Upon the formation of Humphreys Capital in 2012, Mr. Humphreys began assembling a complementary management team to enhance the firm’s investment expertise and capacity.

By 2016 the Senior team was in place, bringing together expertise in real estate development, acquisition, management, and investment.
Now a firm of 15 professionals, the team has 170 years of combined experience and is composed of seasoned experts with complementary skill sets across capital raising, deal sourcing, finance, and operations.
Our Firm’s Process
The firm’s investment and development focus is dynamic cities exhibiting diverse growth across the Southeastern and Southwestern United States, where it specializes in privately negotiated, mid-size deals of institutional quality.
We continuously evaluate and invest in opportunities across these markets and seek out exciting properties and great development partners as we add portfolio assets to our funds. These assets enhance their respective communities while providing diversified, differentiated returns to our investors.
Our Portfolio and Performance
Today the firm manages a mature and growing portfolio of commercial real estate diversified across 14 states. As of December 31, 2019, our portfolios held more than 65 properties, assets valued at more than $720 million.
Our investment team actively seeks opportunities in:
- long-term buy-and-hold real estate in prime locations
- established properties offering stabilized cash flow with potential for value-add
- infill development in proven sub-markets
Since its inception, our firm has been dedicated to bringing value to our accredited investors and has successfully raised over $335 million across three funds. Cash distributions from Humphreys Fund I have increased each year since its formation in 2012, and investors have experienced a 14.6% net IRR since inception.
